Shot and left to die was just the beginning of an amazing rescue out of the Bahama Islands. A local resident who vacations in the Bahamas woke up one morning to the sound of gunshots and crying. Rushing to the scene she found two dogs left to die. Zac, the male mastiff/bulldog mix had been shot twice in the chest and Josie the female bulldog had just missed a shot to the head by a bullet that grazed off the top of her nose. Not knowing the dogs, the rescuer did what only angels do and immediately began rendering aide. Days went by and though a miracle Zac was still alive with Josie by his side. They were flown out to a veterinary clinic and treated successfully saving both dogs. Once in the states another blow came, Zac and Josie were heartworm positive so again this rescue angel began treatment while looking for a NO KILL shelter that would guarantee these two dogs a home together. Today we are blessed that we could be a part of this journey and story of survival. Our adoption fee together is $350
